NAVIGATING GENDER
Do you find yourself worrying about how to make the work you do both specific to your target audience and accessible/inclusive, whilst also making sure everyone feels safe?
Sometimes, wanting to create spaces that are inclusive to diverse genders whilst also catering to the needs of people who might have their own safety concerns or boundaries can be challenging.
Navigating these waters can feel almost impossible if you’re new to them.
They feel even more so challenging now, The Supreme Court ruling of April 2025 and the subsequent guidance and consultations have impacted how these issues are talked about publicly, and how organisations have to consider them and apply them.
It can feel like the only safe option is to close the door so that you don’t inadvertently find yourself with your foot in your mouth or put yourself at risk of legal challenge.
But exclusion never fixes anything. We are always stronger together, and creating spaces that are safe, welcoming and that cater appropriately to the people they serve is possible.
So let me help you to do it well.
I have worked in LGBTQ+ inclusion for 30 years, from grass-roots through voluntary, education, public and corporate sectors. I speak, write and publish about gender inclusion and how to navigate through current challenging political and legal waters whilst maintaining our humanity and commitment to equality. I was a finalist in the National Diversity Awards, LGBT+ Positive Role Model Award 2025 and I am a founder of Rainbow Wise.
I am here to help you navigate your way through gender inclusion in ways that work for you, your organisation and the communities you serve in ways that are both legal and grounded in professional best practice.
